ARTIST BIO
Hassan Rahim is an artist, designer, art director and California native who now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. His distinctive and boundary-troubling work deals in stark, esoteric imagery which embodies far-flung, but carefully steeped influences arranged into thrilling new harmonies. Rahim’s willingness to forge new aesthetics has won him venerable status as a thought leader, specifically among young black artists interested in nuance and subculture.
He has worked with a variety of esteemed clients including Nike, Warp Records, Walker Art Center, Marilyn Manson, and Commonwealth Projects. Rahim has exhibited his work in Amsterdam, Milan, Miami, Los Angeles and New York, and is also the founder of creative studio 12:01.
b. 1987, Los Angeles
